ALLEGRO SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
UKIAH SCHOOL OF MUSIC
333 North Oak Street, Ukiah, CA 95482. 707 462 4094
The Allegro Scholarship Fund grants money to gifted and talented music students whose families need financial assistance to pay for music lessons. This is a local program started by keyboard and vocal instructor Tom Ganoung which works in partnership with the Lillian and Mortimer Vogel Foundation, individual and business sponsors, community leaders and a volunteer staff.
Students may be assisted at a variety of levels. The Program pays 10% to 90% of the monthly tuition, determined on the basis of student need. The music instructor also accepts a reduction in tuition, representing his/her faith in the student's worthiness.
The financial aid by the Program is for the period of six months, but may be withdrawn at any time, should the instructor or director find it is no longer needed or deserved. Worthy students who demonstrate excellent performance in their studies and service may receive extensions of their grants.
If you love music and would like to help these students, please print the Sponsor Contribution Form, complete and return with your tax-deductible gift.
In addition to helping gifted and talented musicians, sponsors are also recognized in print and on display ads and will receive tax deduction information for donations received by the Allegro Scholarship Program office.
It is now our greatest goal to be able to establish significant levels of contribution, so that invested earnings only will then be used into the future to fund the Program. This will allow the Allegro Scholarship Program to grow in service and thrive in perpetuity.
Please consider this quality investment in the future of music in our culture.
